Alex Hewett
Alex grew up near Cirencester and went to school locally before studying at the Royal Veterinary College. After graduating he spent several years working at a busy practice in Buckinghamshire before returning to Gloucestershire in 2019. Since then he has worked in several practices in Cheltenham and Gloucester including busy hospitals and smaller clinics.
Having worked in a variety of different clinical environments, Alex firmly believes that taking a personal, tailored approach to veterinary care is the way forward and delivers the best job satisfaction.
Alex enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary work. He also has a keen interest in clinical governance, in particular clinical auditing, which he uses to implement and maintain high standards of care.
He has a calm, patient approach to his work and enjoys getting to know his clients and their pets, giving them the opportunity to seek all the advice and guidance they need to make the best decisions for their pet.
Outside of work Alex lives with his wife, Emily who is also a vet, and their three whippets, Finn, Rhubarb and Zumi. He is an avid sports fan and is hoping to still find the time to get his whites on for his local cricket team.
