We’re Olivia and Alex, two vets who opened Regency Vets in 2024, we are passionate about offering independent veterinary care with a personal touch for our clients in Cheltenham.

Many clients from further afield said they were looking for a reputable, independent vet in Gloucestershire. As a proudly independent, small-animal practice, we lead a highly experienced, friendly team driven to provide the best possible care we can. Our mission is to provide exceptional service which we can tailor to support you and your pet's needs and we strive to build one-on-one relationships, providing continuity of care and trust for our clients.

The practice was designed by us based on our vision to provide a warm, welcoming environment where our clients and patients feel comfortable and stress free. We have also invested in a range of equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house lab, ensuring we can provide outstanding levels of care on-site. We are proud to have RCVS General Practice Accreditation ensuring our practice meets regular inspection standards in all aspects of practice, showing we are committed to providing the best care for both you and your pets.

Being independent, we have complete control over our pricing, we aim to be competitive whilst reflecting the high level of service we are offering. Although veterinary care isn’t cheap, we believe that providing value for money is important.

  • We are very lucky to have an experienced, compassionate team, and our clinical staff are registered members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Our vets have degrees in Veterinary Medicine and our nurses are Registered Veterinary Nurses. We also have a keen interest in promoting all our staff's continuing professional development (CPD) to continue progressing their training and careers.   • We offer emergency care for pets that includes same-day appointments for sick animals during our opening hours and guidance to overnight emergency care providers when we are closed. We work exceptionally hard to provide continuity of care during our opening hours, but due to the size of our team we are unable to provide an out-of-hours service. To make sure you are always cared for, we work alongside the team at Vets Now Cheltenham, a trusted emergency service.

  • We understand that getting to the vets can be challenging and offer home visits for those who find traveling a concern. We offer these Monday-Friday and these visits are subject to staff availability.

  • We understand that navigating to a practice can be stressful if you have a poorly pet. We are clearly visible from Mead Road and there are parking spaces on the kerb directly in front of the practice, as well as free on-road parking. Inside the practice we provide a lift for both clients and pets and an accessible WC.

  • Yes, we offer monthly direct debit health plans for dogs and cats to help cover the cost of preventative treatments like vaccinations, flea treatments, worming and health checks. We believe prevention is better than cure, regular check-ups and vaccinations can help protect against infectious diseases and the Regency Pet Club offers great savings and helps to spread the cost. Compulsory microchipping for both dogs and cats is now a legal requirement and this service is free for members of our Regency Pet Club.
