Meet the Team

  • Olivia Crowe

    CLINICAL DIRECTOR AND VETERINARY SURGEON

Olivia studied at the Royal Veterinary College and has been working as a small animal vet in the Cotswolds ever since.

She has worked in both corporate and independent practices and with the corporates dominating the sector she wanted to get back to the local, friendly, flexible approach an independent can offer.

She is known for her excellent level of client care, ensuring her loyal clients can remain in contact with her not just when they’re in the consulting room. No matter how big or small your concern is, Olivia will help put your mind at ease.

She enjoys most things, including ultrasound scanning and surgery. But her main focus is on pet and client experience, and ensuring you and your pet feel comfortable, reassured and she will tailor the care to suit your needs and budget. She will provide exceptional care whilst being open and honest about pricing, and ensuring savings are made wherever possible. She is driven by providing the best care for your pet, not by profits for investors, as seen in corporates.

Outside of work Olivia enjoys travelling and trying to keep her cheeky Labrador, Squid, at least vaguely well trained.

  • Alex Hewett

    CLINICAL DIRECTOR AND VETERINARY SURGEON

Alex grew up near Cirencester and went to school locally before studying at the Royal Veterinary College. After graduating he spent several years working at a busy practice in Buckinghamshire before returning to Gloucestershire in 2019. Since then he has worked in several practices in Cheltenham and Gloucester including busy hospitals and smaller clinics.

Having worked in a variety of different clinical environments, Alex firmly believes that taking a personal, tailored approach to veterinary care is the way forward and delivers the best job satisfaction.

Alex enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary work but has particular interests in surgery and reproductive cases. He also has a keen interest in clinical governance, in particular clinical auditing, which he uses to implement and maintain high standards of care.

He has a calm, patient approach to his work and enjoys getting to know his clients and their pets, giving them the opportunity to seek all the advice and guidance they need to make the best decisions for their pet.

Outside of work Alex lives with his partner, Emily, who is also a vet and their two whippets, Finn and Rhubarb, as well as Poppy the cat. He is an avid sports fan and is hoping to still find the time to get his whites on for his local cricket team.

Alex is really proud to be starting Regency Vets with Olivia to offer something different for the pet owners of Cheltenham and can’t wait to meet you and your pets.
